九識

九識
The kinds of cognition or consciousness ((sa) vijñāna); those of sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, mind, (sa) mānas (or阿陁那識 (sa) ādāna), i.e. mental perception; 阿賴耶 ālāya, bodhi-consciousness, and 阿摩羅識 (sa) amala, purified or Buddha-consciousness. There is considerable difference as to the meaning of the last three.
